ACCA Selects Skill Pill as Micro-Learning Partner
London, September 11th 2017: Skill Pill announces a key partnership with ACCA - the global body for professional accountants.
Skill Pill will deliver digital learning tools to help ACCA train and support professional accountants. Of the seven qualities of success identified by ACCA research, six clearly indicated the increasing need for finance professionals with a holistic set of business skills to accompany their technical ability.
By providing its signature-style, engaging ‘soft skills’ learning, Skill Pill will aid the accountancy body as it begins focusing on the challenges that the ‘accountant of tomorrow’ will face. Whether it’s a moment in a client-facing meeting where the right communication is vital, the ability to adapt to the digital world or collaborating with colleagues effectively.
As a digital learning partner, Skill Pill, a leader in micro-learning, will play a vital role supporting ACCA’s vast member network.
Gerry Griffin, Skill Pill’s Director, says: “We are delighted to partner with ACCA and support this prestigious body in promoting business skills to individual and corporate members. The partnership leverages our quality content and digital platform, which will ensure this project’s success.”
Tim Mahne, global sales and marketing director at ACCA, says: “From our extensive research with 2,500 CFOs and 19,000 next generation finance professionals, we identified that professional accountants of the future will need a changing combination of professional competencies—a collection of technical knowledge, skills and abilities, combined with interpersonal behaviours and qualities—as the role becomes more focussed on strategic business partnerships.
“The gap in this type of training was identified by key global employers. Our partnership with Skill Pill will further help finance functions to equip their people with the skills needed to succeed tomorrow”.
