Hello Jim, we have been doing lots of work with assessments as part of the development for Type 45 Destroyer training. We are using lots of formative assessments during the course with a summative end test. The end test is open book (access to electronic technical manual) and has an 80% pass mark; the idea being that we are assessing the ability to find meaningful information rather than just remembering things to pass the test. The courses will start full time delivery after Easter so we don't have many stats yet. What sort of thing are you doing?
