Laytely HR Technology Manager at Legal & General Assurance Society with accountability for elearning and Knowledge Management strategies. This included moving from an external focussed content strategy to internal content development at lower cost using rapid development tools such as Lectora Publisher, Adobe Captivate and Swish..

In 2010, Legal & General were awarded a Saba Customer Excellence Award for their use of Collaboration tools.
Andy has deployed LMS solutions from Lotus (LearningSpace) and Saba (v3.4 & v5.3) in addition to consulting on deployment of SumTotal7.& has his own deployments of Moodle, Joomla & ELGG as part his R&D into open source alternatives.
Andy was also responsible for all HR Technologies at Legal & General including support for the Northgate Resourcelink HR & Payroll system. This focussed on expanding the self-service proposition which is due to deliver in 2012 together with replacing a legacy Pensions system and integrating data from an iGrasp Recruitment system to complete an end to end flow of people data from new starter though to the LMS and beyond.

We're spending it wisely, but there's always room for improvement! Moodle is a good skill to have the way the industry is going. We're just looking at the potential of setting one up here supported by Learning Pool; a local government consortium so the development and cost is spread across many to reduce cost and enjoy the benefits of regular enhancements!
