Congratulations Julie and Cheshire ICT Service

Congratulations to LSG member Julie Wedgwood and Cheshire ICT, who won not one but two gold awards at the IITT Awards last night (Feb 5th).

At the IT training industry's annual glitzy knees up at Dorchester Hotel, Julie and the team picked up the Gold Award for the Internal Training Project of the Year and the Training Department of the Year (public sector).

Arrrrrggggghhhhh! Learning - an unwanted luxury?!

Had a meeting with a trainer today who told straight to my face:
"Learning?!! We do not have the time or luxury to ensure that! We're happy as long as our "students" know that the matter is difficult and that they need to investigate further at a later stage..."
