  • Hi Gavin, (Shameless, but hopefully inoffensive self promo ahead)

CrossKnowledge have great case studies on all sorts of success with Blended Learning - real hard numbers in many cases. I did a short presentation on one of the cases - Sodexo - recently for an event you can watch here:

  • Hello

I’m currently looking at what you, out there, have done in your companies with regards to how you implemented a blended learning strategy which has been proven to been a  success; steps taken, benefits of the strategy and what are your success indicators?

Any information would be greatly appreciated especially associated white papers, business cases, case studies etc

    Many thanks

    Gavin

  • Hi,

after having participated in a blended learning training course I would like to give it a try with one of my adult English classes. It could also be a form of training used in the company I work for.

When I talk to people about blended learning I often meet a lot of reservation, only little curiosity. How can I turn that around?

  • Does anyone know of any short (1-5 min) videos with impact which could be used to introduce and inspire newcomers to blended learning who are entrenched in a physical classroom mentality? The focus needs to be on showcasing the variety of tools available - virtual classroom, self-paced, social media, etc- and developing a new way of thinking about the way we learn and teach.
I have trawled through You Tube but have found little to do with workplace learning (mostly school education), but perhaps my search terms are lacking! I am also aware of the "Do You Know" series.
  • I am of the opinion learning should be accessible anywhere, anytime and the job of the training department and IT should be to support whatever channels a learners chooses. I work in a Global group supporting geographically spread learners with varying learning styles and technical infrastructure - catering for such a wide diverse group means being creative about we get the message out to learners. It is a constant challenge but I've learned one single solution does fit such a global audience. Just to add we also Gen Y entering the workforce adding another layer we need to take into consideration when defining our channel selection.
  • Hi Evan
A way to bring online learning to life is to integrate it into your real life model.
I have been working on a PAP (Pre-At-Post) model that blends the action before, during and after the 'real-time' eLearning event.
    Have a look at: http://www.elearning.mdx.ac.uk/research/#Draft

  • Hi everyone,

Having just implemented a global LMS I am keen to define a blended learning strategy that has 2 core aims:
Truly blending all learning solutions so that they represent a combination of online (courses, references and tools) and human elements (ILT and or webinar, VTC etc...)
Bringing online learning to life through follow up workshops, webinar, VTC etc...
Does anyone have any guidance they can provide in terms of pulling this together, a template or other helpful steer?

    Many thanks,
    Evan

Integrated Talent Management Model

Hi everyone,Not sure if this is the right group for this question, but I thought I would try it:We are currently working on designing a graphic illustration of our new talent management approach. I am envisioning a picture that displays the key Talent Management elements and shows how they are connected to one another.Does anyone of you have a visual display of their talent management strategy and would be happy to share it with me? I would be more than grateful for any inspirations! If visuals…

How had blended learning affected your classroom vs. elearning ratio?

Thought it would be a good idea for us all to share our progress with blended learning to see how it's impacting on delivery. I've put together a short Q&A - would be great to get as many responses as possible:What was the delivery split between e-learning and classroom-based interventions in your organisation before you starting taking a blended learning approach? What is it now? What % of your interventions are blended programmes vs. single solution? What % of blends have classroom-based…

Reluctant SME's

I am interested to find out about how other L&D professionals manage the potential 'push back' from SME's who have in the past been responsible for deliverying all product 'training'.  They seem to object to sharing their training role with a 'e-learning' product. Any thoughts?
