Empowering self-directed learners: Practical strategies and tools for L&D

Caroline Freeman, Director of Design ,Brightwave

The shift to a more learner-guided L&D culture is an inevitable impact of the digital transformation process. So how is it done?  In her new webinar for the LSG, Brightwave's Caroline Freeman discusses a range of self-directed learning strategies, sharing examples and experiences from a number of practical projects. Caroline will explore the surprising and effective ways today's new generation learning tools can put the learner firmly in control. In this lively interactive session we will learn about a variety of tested tools and strategies for establishing a self-directed learning culture, including:

  • Self-directed learning and the changing role of L&D
  • How to make sure self-directed learner journeys stay aligned with the goals of the organisation
  • New tools for old: self-assessment, interactive workbooks, learning pathways and diagnostics
  • Precepts and principles of successful self-directed learning
