Event Description

Simulations for learning: Strategy, design… and serious play!

Caroline Freeman.Director of Design and Colin Welch,Head of Production, Brightwave Group

Today’s business world is complex – too complex for knowledge and skills training alone to meet organisational aims. The result: increasingly, companies are turning to business simulations as part of their learning blend to add the richness of experience and deep learning the modern enterprise needs. Business simulations provide a learning space where teams and individual can respond to complex challenges without putting the business at risk. They can improve decision making and performance at all levels of the organisation, and – done right – are straight-forward to create and put to use. In this lively and interactive session, we will cover:

  • Real-life examples of business simulations making a bottom line impact
  • The difference between data-driven and scenario driven simulations
  • Lessons learned in the development and roll-out of these projects
  • The nuts-and-bolts of designing and planning a business simulation
  • How to make the lessons stick
