I would like to learn how to use Lectora and/or Captivate to design online learning. I don't want to buy before I have tried it out. I would appreciate if somebody could give me advice on if there are, for example, any OERs available on this topic.

Thank you for your help.

Hi Marie,

As a Captivate user, I can point you towards Adobe's online tutorials here: http://blogs.adobe.com/captivate/adobe-captivate-tutorials

You might also like to have a look at the free resources on the elearningbrothers.com site - they have a few free templates for Captivate (and Lectora).

All the best,

Hi Laura,

Sorry for the delayed acknowledgement of your response. Thank you very much. I will explore the links you posted.

Kind regards,

Lectora has much improved its online resources recently. You can access they library of recorded webinars at http://community.trivantis.com/

I would second Laura's recommendation of the elearningbrothers.com site. It might also be worth checking out elearninguncovered.com.

Best wishes

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for your response. Much appreciated. I will explore your posted links.

Kind regards,

Hi Marie,

Both Lectora & Captivate allow you to have a trial run before you have to pay for anything. It'd be worth taking them up on that offer.

Alongside the tutorials for the software, I'd recommend Tom Kuhlmann's Rapid Elearning blog: http://blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/

Even though it comes from the Articulate world, almost everything that he suggests can be done within both Lectora and Captivate too.

I hope that helps.
