About me:

A digital learning professional who has made a career of adopting and adapting technology to help meet the training and business goals of learning and development for a broad range of industrial corporations. My experience has spanned the complete spectrum of learning technologies from the early days of Video discs and CBT through to the present day use of technology to deliver adaptive, micro and blended learning as part of integrated learning strategies. Having been involved with Oil & Gas since the 80’s I have developed many programmes and over time have advised many of the oil majors on how best to utilise learning technology to meet their compliance and technical needs. Creating strategies, proposals or simply converting classroom courses for online delivery or to fit a blended programme, learning technology is my passion and the learner is always central to my thinking.

"Is that a statement about our economic times, or the benefit we get from the learning?

Maybe just "LO" and everybody can choose what it means to them."

"Forgive me Neil, you are right. Having a more technical development bent my mind generally thinks of self contained Learning Objects which have meaning, aremanageable and can be managed. It appears my brain decided that a natural extension would be…"

"I think Neil has a good point, however rather than focus on assessment surely creating the Learning Objectives first as they should be key to what questions you develop and of course, what instructional content should be created so the learner will…"

"I would like to add a slightly different slant to Casson’s suggested approach. We have recently completed and launched a project where we use pre-assessment to structure the content. It is a certified course which will be delivered to the thousands…"

Thanks for contacting me, I am there for the 2 days and although it is fairly hectic it will be great to speak. Is there an Enterprise Ireland stand?
