TikTok reached almost 13m Brits during lockdown, up from just 5.4m in Jan. This seismic adoption has caused an upsurge in short-form video sharing, a format the free platform is known for.

When added to trends seen at other social networks such as Instagram’s release of Reels and the ongoing advance of Facebook’s Workplace into – well – the workplace, we predict a much-needed shift in content creation to meet emerging learner expectations.

In this session you’ll learn:

  • How TikTok became so popular and why we should care
  • How short-form video is the new way to engage learners
  • Why multi-touchpoints trump the single learning module
  • The importance of tone of choice for connecting with our audience
  • How to build communities through learning campaigns

Kate Pasterfield is a ‘creative powerhouse’ with 16 years of experience in digital learning, her pioneering work with global clients, (Tesco, Royal Mail, GSK, Axa, IKEA), harnesses the latest technologies and thinking to address real-world performance challenges. Making personalized, collaborative learning a reality
Joel Hellermark, CEO & Founder, Sana Labs

Collaboration and personalisation are two trends that dominate contemporary thinking about workplace learning.

Collaborative learning involves synchronous, interactive live sessions with groups of learners, and is powered by social dynamics and community.

Personalization focuses on self-paced instruction that responds to the unique needs of every learner, and is powered and scaled by AI.

Is it possible to combine these two? According to Joel it is. In this session, he will explore what it means to combine these two approaches in entirely new ways—using social dynamics to increase engagement while responding to each learner’s needs to improve learning outcomes. Join us to explore the exciting possibilities of personalized, collaborative learning.
