Beyond Performance: Learning & Development for the Information Age
Clark Quinn, Executive Director, Quinnovation
Learning & Development is at a crossroads. We aren't doing near what we could and should be doing, and what we are doing, we are doing badly. Quite simply, we are operating on outdated models of how we think, work, and learn. It is time to revisit L&D and move from the industrial age to an information age, recognizing that optimal execution is only the cost of entry, and continual innovation will be the only sustainable differentiator. The necessary agility requires more than courses, and we need a way to integrate performance support and informal and social as well into a coherent whole, a performance ecosystem. In this talk, we will
- look at the challenges we now face
- explore what we should know
- consider the necessary elements
- frame a coherent model
- put together a path forward
