Recognising this, global biopharmaceutical company, AstraZeneca, partnered with custom digital learning provider, Sponge, to help embed its Code of Ethics firmly into the company’s genetic make-up.
Far from what can often be thought of as ‘boring’ compliance training, AstraZeneca wanted a creative learning solution that would transcend physical and cultural barriers to engage more than around 60,000 employees in over 100 countries worldwide to live and breathe the company’s values and ethical principles. Heading up Education and Engagement for Global Sustainability at AstraZeneca, she looks to demystify and engage learners in compliance training, including an annual course which rolls out to over 78,000 globally. She has not only introduced simpler, bite-sized, mobile first courses and a social learning platform, but, as a passionate storyteller, she has been able to help transform the way her function talks to the business, turning what could be a whole lot of legalese into a simpler way of working.
