8027707897?profile=originalCome through the looking glass and explore the techniques the gambling industry uses to get people playing, and to keep them hooked.

Gambling expert Dr. Philip Newall, Warwick University, will show you how they:

• Use dark nudges
• Pretend it’s simple to win
• Use highly targeted messaging
• Switch up the winnings

For every dark manipulation we uncover, Charlotte Hills, Saba and Warwick University, will share a practical tip on how to use these insights from behavioural science… but this time for good!

Philip is a postdoctoral researcher in engineering psychology at WMG, University of Warwick and a former professional poker player. He is interested in how principles of behavioural science affect the marketing of gambling and financial products. He completed a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Stirling and a M.Sc. in cognitive and decision sciences at University College London.

Charlotte is an award-winning learning designer and published research assistant. Specialising in medical content, Charlotte uses adult learning principles from neuroscience and psychology literature to create effective learning and drive adoption. Charlotte is currently completing a PhD in Psychology at Warwick University.

Making personalized, collaborative learning a reality
Joel Hellermark, CEO & Founder, Sana Labs

Collaboration and personalisation are two trends that dominate contemporary thinking about workplace learning.

Collaborative learning involves synchronous, interactive live sessions with groups of learners, and is powered by social dynamics and community.

Personalization focuses on self-paced instruction that responds to the unique needs of every learner, and is powered and scaled by AI.

Is it possible to combine these two? According to Joel it is. In this session, he will explore what it means to combine these two approaches in entirely new ways—using social dynamics to increase engagement while responding to each learner’s needs to improve learning outcomes. Join us to explore the exciting possibilities of personalized, collaborative learning.
