If Operations teams start to play a more active role in defining, developing, and implementing the learning they need, what does that mean for the future of L&D? As organisational operations become more ‘hands on’ when organising and managing their own their training, L&D teams must evolve if they’re to maintain their relevance. Jez Anderson from Netex Learning and Donald H Taylor will explore this emerging trend and together consider the following questions:
• Is it time for L&D to re-think its role and their contribution in supporting business performance?
• What risks do L&D face if operations teams want to be more ‘hands on'?
• Who should own learning and development activity?
• What does the future hold for the relationship between Operations and L&D teams?
