Personalization through adaptive technologies
Dr Chris Littlewood, Head of Science, Filtered
Algorithms are now widely used online in order to extract insight from the rich data generated by website users. Their use has spread from search, to marketing & retargeting, and we believe we are on the cusp of their proliferation in online training.
But can the algorithms developed for selecting marketing content be applied usefully to online training? We've drawn on our experience of developing an algorithm to select training content in order to propose some principles for the application of algorithms to online training.
During this session, Chris will be discussing:
- The use of algorithms to make online training more personalized
- Perspective on its opportunities and pitfalls
- How Filtered algorithm carefully selects the content most valuable to each user
